Hi, I’m Jess.
Welcome to Yoga Nest. I am so genuinely happy you are here. This offering is the culmination of a great deal of yoga and mental health training, yoga experience both as a teacher and student, life experience, reading (oh the reading!), and a whole lot of love.
I am a Mental Health Aware and Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher with a BSc(Psychology/Psychophysiology) and BA(Honours), and over 10 years of yoga teaching experience.
Yoga Nest was born to be an inclusive, welcoming and safer place for everyone - including those experiencing challenges with balancing their emotions. Our aim is to share research-led and trauma-informed yoga practises to assist you in supporting your own emotional wellbeing - both in the short term as needed, but also with a longer term outlook. Who doesn’t need that right?
There are many ways in which Yoga Nest may be able to support you to develop a mental health aware yoga practise. These include free online resources, tailored 1:1 sessions (face to face or Zoom), specialised online courses (coming soon), and various live events and workshops.

*It is important to note that we are not therapists. We are trained to teach Yoga in a way that is mental health aware, but not to provide counselling or medical advice. We would be happy to refer you to a mental health professional if you are seeking counselling.
